When traveling, the question often comes to mind, “How do I pass the time?” Lucky for us crocheters, we have yarn! What a perfect way to keep your hands busy, be productive, and find a place of comfort when going somewhere new.
So what makes for a great travel project?
A lot is happening that you can’t predict when travelling, so having a project that you can pick up and put down in a heartbeat are then perfect choices! Down below will be great projects that are mindless and include very little counting so you can just zone out. The repetitiveness will keep you still present on your trip. Unfortunately a lot of amigurumi does mean you have to be pretty involved, so I will be keeping those out of this list!

10 Great Travel Projects
Here is a VERY simple scarf to make but has such a great, modern look! Working with size 4 worsted yarn, this pattern is all Hdc and with the Ferris Wheel yarn, it keeps it interesting to see the color change!
This project takes a while but the repetitiveness is perfect - worked as a giant square, this project becomes a cocoon cardigan with a few seams!
Infinity Scarves always take a little longer than I think most of know.. but with some variation of puff stitch, this is a fun pattern and can be used as a hood for the wet months!
Experiment with a different kind of stitch - the waffle stitch! It's the perfect blend of mindless but also focusing on your work, it's a fun one!
