We all know the holiday season seems like all you’re doing is buying things! I know my wallet is feeling it a bit but I am excited for my peers to receive their gifts. However, I am not here to talk about gifts for others. I am here to talk about what I am buying for myself!

One of the stores I frequent the most for all my craft needs is JOANN stores! Fortunately for me, they carry more items that I love that aren’t only crochet related – but they’re great that too! So you know I had to visit the yarn isle (spoiler)

Grab a Holiday Wreath!

I am a HUGE fan of wreaths, as someone who lives in an apartment building, it feels good to be the one with the identifiable door. I think it adds a nice charm to the time of year you’re in and so easy to hang up! The first site of your home should be a happy one.

 

Holiday Bags

With gift giving in the air, you are usually left with two options: wrap them up or put them into a bag! Because of my energy levels, I typically opt in the bag route. While I was browsing JOANN for this list, I was so pleasantly surprised to see they had some! So many different size options and was much cheaper than other large retailers.

 

Fiskars Scissors

I never understood what it meant to have quality scissors until I owned a pair. It seems like you always need a pair, opening boxes especially they come in handy and I am so excited to have a paid of good reliable scissors! Cutting my yarn feels so smooth and satisfying. And I can’t ignore the color options! I myself am a big fan of a matte finish.

 

Yarn!

It wouldn’t be a Knot Bad post if I wasn’t adding yarn into here. I have been jumping all over the place when it comes to the type of yarn I am working on. Right now I am enjoying the larger yarns! I wasn’t able to find the Tubular Yarn but I am content with the Big Twist Plush yarn.

 

Crochet Hooks

There is a lot of debate on what the “best” crochet hooks there are and when it comes to commercial grade, my immediate answer is Susan Bates hooks. I just love how sleek they look! It’s neat to see them come in 3 or 5 packs likes you see here. However if I am working with a larger size, I go with my handy Clover hooks!
