Episode 3 of Knit’s Meet’s Knot is here from Bluprint and we are getting into this take on clothing. This is such a fun project to weave into your normal life – embellishing your denim with yarn! This is a great way to up-cycle old clothing and giving it a new life. Whether it be something new or something old, this is a great way to display yourself and be a Yarn Punk! Don’t know what Yarn Punk is? You can head HERE to learn more about it and also find the tutorial on how to Yarn Punk you clothing! With this episode however, I show you a different way to go about it.
This is my favorite episode of the series since this is all about Yarn Punk! Yarn is meant to be intertwined with the rest of your life, not just a hobby on the side. This is a great way to strut your work out in public, it takes less time to make a new signature piece, and it’s a blast to play with mixed media!

What can I learn from this Episode?
Expressing yourself through yarn in this way is an eye grabber. Making the crochet pieces to attach to your clothing can seem simple, but the part most wonder about is, how do I attach it? For the crochet end, we’re talking about the whip stitch! This stitch will keep you sleeve in place – you can also find the pattern on Bluprint if you want to make your own crochet sleeve!
On the knitting side hosted by Morgan, you can take a peak at her technique of sewing on the back panel onto the backside of the denim coat by watching the tutorial on the show by clicking here! The pattern to create your own back panel can also be found to join in on the fun!
