My Small Story!
Covid really did change the course of my art and brand. In my humble opinion, as hard as covid has been for the human race itself, I am grateful for what this pandemic has done for my creativity. I actually began my crochet career starting with Amigurumi! My inspiration was to create Pokémon and if it wasn’t for Pokémon itself, I don’t know if I would have taken the final plunge into the craft and forced myself into hours of learning it.
I really enjoyed the doll making but as I was really trying to make this a viable career path and based off of my colleagues, I felt like the only way to succeed was to dive into the clothing / garment space of crochet.
For the better part of two years, I had been trying to make my name known in the clothing and accessory world but I just couldn’t seem to keep it consistent. Many times I was doing it purely for the money and not the passion of it. Nothing better than working on a mindless project but when it comes to designing, it was hard.

After spending the better portion of two years trying to design clothing, I was becoming so entirely burnt out from it. It didn’t quite feel like it was a space that I was meant to be known for. It wasn’t until COVID-19 hit and we were all stuck indoors, I lost all my income (side gig, companies cutting commissions, ad agencies stopping their ad revenue, etc)
Since I wasn’t making any money, I figured I may as well have fun and try my hand at amigurumi once again! I made a little axolotl for my very first amigurumi project in years (the free pattern to that project can be found HERE) and I was just so happy after I was done. THIS was the feeling I had when I started and it’s an intoxicating one. For the rest of lockdown, I have been pursuing these dolls once again and its given my brand such a breath of fresh air!
I have designed a few really fun patterns on the blog for free (which can all be found HERE) and a few can be found in these photos!

I also finally decided to finally get back on Etsy to offer my readers my premium and exclusive Amigurumi patterns! It has been so nice to be back on the platform and hear some of the reviews you leave me, it warms my heart. You can buy them all separately in my Etsy shop but since all these designs came out of my imagination through the the quarantine / hell scape that was 2020, I’ve decided to offer them all together!
You can now purchase my entire Quarantine Amigurumi Handbook bundle for a much cheaper price than buying individually! Down below, you can find all the patterns that are apart of the bundle!
Here are the materials I used for all of these projects: (All links are part of my affiliate links so when your purchase through them, I earn a little bit of a commission! Thank you all for supporting this artist in this way!)
