I’ve said it before around here and I’ll keep saying it until I can no longer type: I love Pokemon so much. I have been breathing Pokemon in since I was 4 years old and it always feels like a new breath to me! I even wear my Pokeball Jeans around the town and have a Pokemon tattoo; I think that says something about my dedication.
When I first started out crocheting, creating Pokemon dolls is what really drew me into the craft. Bringing Pokemon to life always seemed like a childhood fantasy to me until I saw what could be done with yarn! Pokemon is so well know and loved, that I am sure that some Pokemon Patterns from artists across the web will inspire some to hop into the craft!
Down below, you will find a number of FREE Pokemon patterns from various artists; be sure to also check out their other work!
Nurse Chansey by A Hare Affair
– This Chansey is ready to do some healing! One of the best Chansey patterns on the web as of now in my opinion. A Hare Affair created this on her Twitch Stream and helped raise $250 for St. Jude doing this project!
Jigglypuff by Knot Bad
(Shameless promotion right now) Here is the Jigglypuff pattern that I created! She’s always been a real charming and funny character – I also really enjoy using her in Smash Bros. Everyone seems to recognize this pokemon!
Pikachu by 53 Stitches
This set of Pokemon were actually the first patterns I ever followed (Squirtle was technically my first!) and these are so well written out. the clear photos were a big help when I was practicing my basic stitches!
Magikarp by Crochetnanigans
Poor Magikarp, always getting a bad rap about his below par attacking power. But he still holds a novelty in our hearts and reminds us that it’s not to late to be a better us and evolve into something spectacular!
Squirtle Squad by KhookCreations
Squirtle was always in his prime when he was part of his squad and had some killer glasses on – This is the perfect pattern to recreate it! This artist also creates pokebeans on her Twitch stream, be sure to get your Pokefix there!
Clefairy by Crochet Em All
Okay, last pink pokemon I promise! But this Kawaii Clefairy is just too cute – it’s just begging to be loved!
Snivy from All About Crochet
First Pokemon on this list that isn’t from Generation 1, Snivy! Very cool starter from the 5th Gen games.
Snorlax By Miahandcrafter
Snorlax is best when he’s over-sized! This is a great project if you’re looking for one to sink your time and teeth into.
Alolan Exeggutor by Kristel Koevenig
For our last entry, it’s the pokemon that has the honor of many memes – Alolan Exeggutor! This Pokemon had such a shock factor when announced for the first time, but I think many people have come to the love this Pokemon.
Debi Mayfield says
Amazing! My grandson started me playing Pokémon Go. Now my husband and I are both level 40. We have 8 grandchildren now and I crochet toys for them all year long.
Can’t wait to make them all!
Thank you for sharing what you love.
