The first day of September hit and people are already eyeing fall! To the feel, the new beginnings, the colorful leaves, and all the fun holidays! People are already smitten by something we hear everyday; Pumpkins. We’re carving them, eating them, making Cappuccinos out out of them. Why not add some pumpkin decor to your home with this really easy and quick pattern? I’m already excited to have mine up as well!
Materials
· Yarn: Lion Brand Vannas Choice
· Hook: 4mm
Poly Fill
· Scissors
· Darning needle
Pattern Key
· Ch – Chain
· Sc – Single crochet
· Inc – Increase
· Dec – decrease
Experience level
Beginner+
Lets begin!
Rnd 1: Single Crochet 6 into Magic Ring (6)
Rnd 2: *Inc* around (12)
Rnd 3: *Sc, Inc* around (18)
Rnd 4: *Sc 2, Inc* around (24)
Rnd 5: *Sc 3, Inc* around (30)
Rnd 6: *Sc 4, Inc* around (36)
Rnd 7-10: Sc around (36)
Rnd 11: *Sc 4, Dec* around (30)
Rnd 12: *Sc 3, Dec* around (24)
Rnd 13: *Sc 2, Dec* around (18)
Rnd 14: *Sc, Dec* around (12)
Insert the hook through 2 loops at a time and pull to close the hole! (Seen above)
Take the end of the yarn and pull through the center VERY tightly.
Do this around 5 more times (6 in total)
Now lets create the stem!
Rnd 1: 6 Single Crochet into the Magic Ring (6)
Rnd 2-3: Sc around (6)
Finish off and leave tail
Now sew the stem into the middle!
Creating the vine
Pull your green yarn through a stitch closest to the stem
Ch 8.
In second chain from hook, sc twice into that chain. 2 Inc in each stitch across. (It will begin curling!)
Cut your yarn and weave it in!
