The Mariana Trench Scarf
If you’ve been following me, you know I’ve been really into making dolls and home decor; scarves and hats aren’t often made by me. When I was approached by KnitCrate (Their website can be found here!) to do a wearable piece, saying I was a little intimidated would be an understatement. The closest I generally get to wearable pieces are a bit eccentric and not to often be worn in a normal, day-to-day setting. However, the fact that this wonderful company had faith I could do it gave me the motivation to go ahead and give it a shot!
With that description I gave you, you would think I had a tough time, right? To my surprise, it wasn’t! The moment this yarn landed at my door and I opened it up, I was enveloped with inspiration. By the blue-ish green and the incredible feeling of the yarn. The first think I thought when seeing it was the ocean floor! Can’t say any yarn that I have owned has made that thought come to my head. With knowing what it reminded me of, I wanted to base of it off something, and that’s how I came up with the Mariana Trench! Which, if you aren’t familiar, it is the deepest part of the ocean! So here it is, the infinity scarf named The Mariana Trench Scarf, which can now be purchased as a kit here (Use the code Knotbad10 for 10% off!) with their wonderful subscription! However, the pattern can be found *Here*
With the Subscription, the pattern and yarn used for this project will be delivered to your door and you can have a blast with this piece! It’s a fun project and never becomes too mundane. This yarn slides right through your fingers!
A huge thank you to KnitCrate for having me this month in February and this fun project to be apart of! Get your hands on this yarn and pattern and you will not be disappointed!
Absolutely LOVE the color AND design!
