Beanies are an absolute staple when it comes to crochet and knit! For the most part, this is one of the most common and predictable projects people assume crafters of the yarn world make, right? But that isn’t to say that it’s a bad thing, there are reasons this is the most common thought! Beanies are classic and they serve so many different purposes. They show off your character – there are so many ways that a beanie can look and every little detail says something about you. And of course, they keep you warm and toasty. They are great selfish projects as well as “thinking of you” gifts.

There’s different ways to start and end a beanie – as well as the small little things you can add to them! On episode 1 of Knit Meets Knot, we dive into the differences and similarities of what a crochet and knit hat look and act like. We both included the same types of details but it’s crazy how different the two crafts are!
What can we learn from this?
We also include hands on tutorials on how to make a bobbles, using the bobble stitch. We also show you how to close off your beanie, and of course, we have fun doing it! Looking for a good way to unwind and learn a little bit more about the craft? This is the place!
While you can learn a little bit about our beanies and how we approach it in our own ways, you can also learn a little bit about us! Morgan is an amazing knitter who is known for her crazy designs in sweaters and Vincent is the self-proclaimed Yarn Punk.
