Just look how darling he/she is – cute enough to eat if I do say so myself. Since it’s warm outside, this is the perfect project. Materials:
Lion Brand Basic Stitch! (Any worsted weight yarn will do)
Abbreviations:
Ch – chain
Hdc – Half Double Crochet
Sc – Single Crochet
Sl st – slip stitch
Dc – Double Crochet
Let’s Begin!
Rnd 1: 6 Sc into Magic Ring (6)
Rnd 2: *Inc* around (12)
Rnd 3: *Sc, Inc* around (18)
Rnd 4: *Sc 2, Inc* around (24)
Rnd 5: *Sc 3, Inc* around (30)
Rnd 6: *Sc 4, Inc* around (36)
Rnd 7: *Sc 5, Inc* around (42)
You will be inserting eyes in row 9, with 9 stitches apart. Or whatever you think looks best!
Rnd 8 – 13: Sc around (42)
Rnd 14: *Sc 5, dec* around (36)
Rnd 15: *Sc 4, dec* around (30)
Stuff firmly!
Rnd 16: *Sc 3, dec* around (24)
Rnd 17: *Sc 2, dec* around (18)
Rnd 18: *Sc 1, dec* around (12)
Finish off and sew hole shut

sl st into firs st, SC in 2nd chain from hook, Hdc in next, Dc in next two, make 6 Dc in last chain. It will naturally start to turn your work around, Dc into next two, Hdc in next, sc, sl st into last.

Rnd 1: 6 Sc into Magic Ring (6)
Rnd 2-3: Sc around (6)
Finish off, leave tail for sewing.
Assembly
- Attach stem to the top of the orange
- Next, sew on your leaf
- Embroider your face!
