Crochet Classes!
Learning to crochet, or any type of craft really, can be tough when you teach yourself. I picked up crochet through YouTube and it was pretty difficult that way; I wish I had a teacher to show me the ropes! Well, I’ve been actively trying to better my craft for a few years now and it’s finally time for me to be able to share what I’ve learned in my crochet ventures and be able to teach the wonderful craft! I will be teaching a completely hands-on class and you will be able to walk away from the class with basic knowledge on the most commonly used stitches, how to read patterns, and working on a personal project that inspire you! If this sounds like the right fit for you, head over here to find my class! (If you have questions about signing up for a class, head here!)
Where and When?
You will have the opportunity to learn how to Crochet with me in a 3 week class! I have been granted the incredible opportunity to be able to teach my own crochet classes through Portland Community College (PCC) at the Willow Creek Campus in Beaverton, OR! (Located off of 185th) from 6:30-8:20 on Thursdays. There will be two sessions; The first class starts April 12 and occurs on April 19, and April 26. The second session starts May 17 and continues on May 24, and May 31!
What will I be taught?
I have been in too many classes where busy work takes so much of our time. In this class, it will be hand’s on and we will be diving straight into learning how to crochet! We will talk about the importance of the craft and the benefits of it. You will be able to leave the class with the ability to be able to do the most common stitches, being able to read a pattern, and working on personal project of your choosing that inspires you!
What Do I Need?
The class itself costs $49.00 but after that fee, nothing else! Lion Brand Yarn has been so gracious and is supplying all the yarn and hooks for all of you! However, if you do have a certain hook you would like to use please feel free to bring it! The only thing you need to bring is a good attitude and a charged cell phone with Pinterest!
I hope to see some of you there! If you do not get the chance to sign up, there will be more classes in the future. If you have any questions regarding the class, please contact me at Knotbadcrochet@gmail.com, can’t wait to get you addicted to yarn!
