Grow your own wings with this free crochet pattern!
With the sun coming out and lot’s of social distancing, I think we’re going to be seeing a lot more butterflies out and about! They are so pretty and I love catching all of them in Animal Crossing. So to pay tribute to this wonderful insect, here’s my kawaii take on it! And you can get started on your own, too!
Down below, you can find the free pattern to the Bubbly Butterfly! In my opinion, pretty easy to make! The only challenging portion is going to be the sewing of the wings, but you can do it!
And of course, you are not restricted to the colors. Feel free to use any color combos you wish!

Assembly
To begin with the sewing process, lets attach the wings first to get the hard part out of the way! You’ll have to eyeball this the best you can but starting with the large wings, let’s attach to both the head and body with a slight tilt. Flatten your wings when doing so – no stuffing involved.
To top it off, lets add those little wing details (you can always come up with your own too!)
And when doing this, try your best to to embroider on the inside of it all rather than going through the back so it looks clean!
Next, let’s add those antennas to the top of the head!
Yay! Now the final details are the embroidery! Start with the face (lashes, blush, and smile!) along with its belly detail!
All Done!
