When I mention this animal to a lot of people, it doesn’t seem to be one that people even know exist! The axolotl is just the cutest thing and here is a picture of what I am talking about if you didn’t know:

I decided I wanted to create this pattern after thinking about one of the cutest Pokemon, Mudkip! Mudkip is based off of this amphibian and they nailed it.
Down below you can find the free crochet pattern to get started on the amigurumi!

1 Skein in Lion Brand’s Basic Stitch Premium (In Raspberry)
1 Skein in Lion Brand’s Basic Stitch Premium (In Black)
1 Skein in The Hook Nooks Main Squeeze yarn (in rose gold)
- Any worsted weight yarn will work!
