While going through my google docs that I’ve had for the longest time, I stumbled upon this and I forgot I had even written up this pattern when I first began pattern writing! I apologize in advance for the lack of pictures, I wasn’t very good at that back in the day. With that out of the way, I thought I would make it available to all the Star Wars fans around here, because I know there is quite the fandom around here! And if you’re interested in more of my Star Wars patterns, you can check out the Yoda Scoodie pattern here for free!
Down below you will find the free pattern for BB-8!

Orange Circle (make 3)
Rnd 1: Ch 41
Rnd 2: Turn, begin in second ch from hook and sc across (40)
Rnd 3: Ch, sc across (40)
The orange circles will initially be very long strands, don’t worry about it looking circular yet.
Assembly:
To begin, sew on the orange circles onto the body. To do this, pin the orange yarn onto it to make it circular and only sew the outer rim on the body. The inner rim will stick up. After the orange circles are sewn on, embroider the orange “triangles” in the circles. This will hold it down and give it the look it needs. Mine were all a stitch apart in the circle, 2 stitches down the both meet at the same point. (Picture for reference)
With grey yarn, connect the circles with a line across hiding under the circles!
The body is now done, just sew on the head and your BB-8 is now complete! I hope you love him/her 🙂
