Hop on the boat, get your water wings on, JOANN and I are feeling the sea air to bring your the Nautical Scarf!
When you are on the open sea, or even just around it, the sea air always has a bite to its breeze and here’s a great way to stay warm! A fun texture and color layout, it’s one to surely grab the eyes of just about anyone. Being on a boat is always a treat and I hope this brings back feeling of the sea for you!
The holidays are over and the making madness is starting to slow down, which means you can finally head over to JOANN to grab your yarn and start some new projects! With how much yarn is used and such odd amounts used as well, this is the perfect yarn buster pattern to use some of those smaller skeins to bring some color to pop in your own scarf! It’s called the Nautical because of the color scheme, but of course you can adjust that however you see fit.
JOANN has everything you need to create this project (All materials listed below!) but as usual, they have exactly what you need to feel like you’re about set onto your very own voyage.

Vincent, I LOVE this cowl scarf, but need to know if you want the maker to carry along the dropped color to the next time it is used or will we have to do some end tucking?
I’m going to be making this with all worsted weight yarns (the base color held double), because my local yarn shops have such a limited bulky selection (read: little to none). I rarely buy yarn online. (Colors are seldom what I saw on screen)
Great patterns, fine directions – good work, Vincent!

Hi Ginger!
So as you see in the pattern, when switching from white to red in this case, I just cut my yarn and attach the new color. I suppose you could carry it but to make the color a little more seamless I decided to suck it up and weave in some extra ends! Thank you for asking and making this clear, I’m so sorry about the confusion!! Would absolutely love to see how yours turns out!
