Trifold 1-Hour Cowl
Quick, Easy, and Multifunctional. I think you will find so much to come out of this simple cowl. I’m a firm believer that scarves add to your body language when you enter a room, so why not be able to change that easily? This cowl can be made within 1 hour and (maybe some change depending on your speed) and it can be folded into three different ways! You can go from keeping your entire face warm and cozy, to revealing the entirety of your face once you step into a public setting. Made from JUST ONE skein of Lion Brand Yarn’s Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, it really is such a mindless and quick make. The simplicity and functionality is just too great, especially with such odd weather patterns we’ve been experiencing over the past few years. Let’s go over each fold together down below!
Seen above, this is the cowl without any fold whatsoever – I always find myself wearing it like this when there’s a windchill in the air and my ears and nose need some protecting! Since it is pretty thick wool, it does just that. It’s nice to have this function while still allowing you to see! And to add to it, you get to see your beautiful rows fully!
With just one fold, it makes for such a classic cowl for and day to day. This is the standard cowl, meant for anytime anywhere (if it’s cold enough that is!) Just a cowl to keep you warm, and for other people to admire!Wit the expanding on the bottom of the cowl to cover a portion of the shoudlers, one of my favorite things about this cowl is that it keeps all the air in when you put a coat on. I’m sure you can relate to those thimes you have a scarf on and you can still feel a breeze intruding between your scarf and jacket. This remedies that well!
And finally, the cowl with 2 folds! What I really like about this one is when you want to open up the entirety of your face when speaking with someone, I even just wanting to eat! Can you imagine having to wear this cowl without and folds when walking into an establishment? It’s so nice to be able to not have to take your cowl off whenever you go somewhere!
If this hasn’t convinced you to make this cowl, I don’t know what will. But if you’ve stuck around, you can find the free, easy pattern down below for the Trifold 1 Hour Cowl!
